Leilani began entertaining as a little girl, performing nightly with her
father Larry Rivera and family at the Coco Palms Resort on Kaua`i. She
began hula lessons at an early age, then created and taught hula to
other Coco Palms performers from age 13. She began teaching the hula
about 20 years ago as she began raising her children, and Halau Hula o
Leilani now has over 100 keiki and adult students, in Kapa`a, Po`ipu and
Reno, Nevada. Her award-winning halau on Kaua`i performs frequently, as does
the halau in Reno.
