In 1961, Hula Records released Kent Bowman’s Pidgin English Children's Stories. What Bowman did was take familiar children’s stories (Goldilocks & the Three Bears, The Three Little Pigs, Cinderella, and so on), relocate them in Hawai`i, and narrate them in a warm, enthusiastic, Pidgin English accent. |
