  
Queen Lili`uokalani, Hawai`i's last monarch, loved music, song, and dance -- but most of all she loved children. Each year since 1976, Honolulu's Kalihi-Palama Culture and Arts Society has staged the Queen Lili`uokalani Keiki Hula Competition -- a festive three-night celebration at Honolulu's Blaisdell Arena. Over 500 youngsters, ages 6 to 12, show graceful and amazing skills in the beautiful Hawaiian artform of hula in both its kahiko and `auana styles.
